Dean's Message

Punjabi University, Patiala has achieved the status of being the premiere institute of Punjab during the journey of last sixty years. The standard and range of quality work it has done in the field of Punjabi language, literature and culture has been exemplary. The University has carved a distinct identity of its own through work in various disciplines. The students of the University are spread all across the world and are contributing successfully in their respective professional fields. The university is proud of their achievements. The former students of the University are the most valuable heritage of any university. And even for the Alumni, their alma mater is the most respected place. As the years pass, the time spent in the University and the education acquired there become an integral part of their precious memories. In this regard, efforts are being made so that the former students of Punjabi University can once again be brought into a close association with their alma mater. As a result, the University will be enriched in more than one ways from their experiences in the real world, and the alumni will be able to contribute back to their alma mater. And this will definitely add a real sense of meaning in their association with their university. I, as Dean, Alumni Relations, extend a warm invitation to all our alumni to support us in this initiative by reviving their connection with the University.
